Our group Cleveleys Writers-Writers for Charity was formed in 1999 to enable local persons to express
their literary talents and emotions by means of poetry and short stories. All LOCAL aspiring writers are
welcome to join us.

Periodically our group selects a charity and we produce a selection of original poems and prose and collate them
into an anthology. The anthologies are sold by the charity or ourselves as fund raisers to benefit the charity.

To date we have produced anthologies titled

SOMETIMES I THINK ~ ITS ONLY POETRY, and AT EASE~ITS ONLY POETRY for  for the MS society.
BE PREPARED ~ ITS ONLY POETRY a fund raiser for the 2007 World Scout Jamboree.
NEW HORIZONS. currently on sale at the Blackpool Trinity Hospice, Lowmoor Rd. Blackpool.
PAWS FOR THOUGHT a new anthology for the RSPCA for sale at the RSPCA dog show Highfield Humanitarian Centre Sunday 1st July 2007
ANGELS IN DISQUISE a compilation of poems and prose to raise funds for the North West Air Ambulance.

Extracts from all these works can be read on the links on this webpage

But apart from charity work, we are also interested in using our talents to encourage the younger members within
our community to enter our own poetry competitions which are within the school curriculum. We find this work is
very popular and most rewarding to both entrants and organizors.

Our writers group have a number of members who have had their work published. In April 2008, one member
had his book 'The Secret History of Christianity' published. The book attempts to discover the real Mary Magdalene and her 2000 year old mystery. The book then moves to the crusaders and the origins of the
Knight Templars and how their political arm; the Priory of Sion manipulated the Crusaders and are still with
us today. The narrative covers the French suppression of the Templars and the Cathar people in the south of
France which then follows through into investigations into the Holy Grail. The links to the Templars in Scottish
history and the hidden secrets of Rosslyn Chapel are outlined. There is quite a detailed description of the
Templar’s discovery of America that happened one hundred years before Columbus and how they possibly hid
their treasure on Oak Island. A chapter on the intrigue of Sauniere and the Rennes-le-Chateau mystery
outlines how descendants of Mary Magdalene were integrated into the French nobility and are supported today
by Rex Deus. For full details click here
